Sherita Davis Owner/Therapist
One of my missions in life is to serve others with compassion, sincerity, and integrity. For 16 years, I have been blessed to serve as a mental health provider to individuals in the York County Community. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in South Carolina and North Carolina (LCMHC). I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPCS), which allows me to supervise Licensed Professional Associates (LPCAs) seeking licensure in the State of South Carolina. Since 2007, I have worked with various individuals, from children/adolescents to older adults, in inpatient, outpatient, and school settings. My clinical experience includes working with individuals struggling with poor anger management, loss/grief, mood disorders, PTSD, trauma, suicidal ideations/attempts, and histories of physical/sexual abuse. In order to better service the needs of my clients, I have received specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidenced-based therapy to address trauma and PTSD. In addition, I am certified in Triple P (Positive Parenting Program), which focuses on developing interventions to help families manage oppositional and aggressive behavior in the home. My educational background includes a Master of Education Degree with a concentration in Community Counseling from Winthrop University and a PhD in Counseling and Psychological Studies from Regent University.
